  • A general purpose medium fine grain sand.
  • Screened by us and originates from our own pit in Hillsdale.
  • Tan/light brown in colour.
  • Coarse, but lighter than Mason Sand due to it’s larger particles and lower density.
  • Commonly used for backfilling, pipe bedding, beach areas, etc.

  • A very soft and fine sand, typically used for brick laying and stone work.
  • A washed and filtered product.
  • Generally heavier than screened sand due to it’s small particles, creating a higher density. 
  • Commonly used between pavers/tiles, for children’s playgrounds, horseshoe pits, under pools, and of course mason work.

  • A sand mixture with small stones or pebbles that may vary in size.
  • Primarily used to backfill and/or raise low areas.
  • Has some drainage properties, as it does not retain much moisture over long periods of time.
  • High grade compaction with aid.

  • A washed and screened product.
  • Light to medium grey in colour.

  • All topsoil is a recycled product; It is a result of decomposition of natural, organic materials.
  • Our topsoil is screened to 6mm, eliminating any large rocks or natural debris.
  • Commonly used for top-dressing lawn, gardens, base layers for sod, and construction.

Triple Mix

  • Combination of manure and compost, with our screened topsoil used as the foundation.
  • Enriched with the essential nutrients for maximum growth.
  • Typically a rich black colour.
  • Ideal for vegetable gardens, flower beds, trees, or shrubs.

  • A recycled natural material sourced locally from yard waste to elevate the sustainability and health of your greens.
  • Increases the organic matter in soils.
  • To be diluted in topsoil, as it is very concentrated, and can bleach organic areas if not distributed effectively.

  • Black in colour, fades dark gray with age.

  • Strong cedar aroma.
  • Golden Brown colour, greys with age.

Canada Red Mulch

  • Freshly ground pine bark.
  • Un-dyed mulch with unique aroma.
  • Reddish Brown colour ages to dark brown.
  • Helps reduce weeds, adds organic matter to enrich soil, improves soil moisture retention capabilities, and helps protect plants from harsh weather.

Red Devil Mulch

  • Derived from fine textured virgin pine and cedar trees.
  • Naturally dyed a bright brick red colour.
  • Helps reduce weeds, improves soil moisture retention capabilities, and helps protect plants from harsh weather.
  • Turn each season to preserve colour!

Mulch Vegetable Dyes

  • All of our mulch is made from low pH decomposing wood, which helps condition soil.
  • They are a colour enhanced freshly ground softwood substrate.
  • The colourant is a natural iron oxide.
  • To preserve colour, turn the mulch over every half season. The dyes will bleed throughout and “re-dye” layers, keeping the original colour as long as possible.
  • Disclaimer: Since the dyes are natural derivatives, colour is not permanent, and will fade with time.
